New Home with New Headaches
Just days into the new home, legal documents come. Potiphar's and wife wanted more money from me and full custody of my child.
Nevertheless, the Good Lord God Almighty has, as usual, His angels all over. I was assigned a case worker at the local Veteran's Administration Department that was a JAG in the military. So, he helped me on how to contest the legal proposal and all I had to do was to faithfully wait for the day of the hearing and I asked for a phone conference instead of being in person due to the locations. Potiphar is in the Northwest coast of the country, while I am towards the Northeast of the US.
So, my next move? You guessed it...
I waited patiently because I knew that the miracle was coming. I was a bit doubtful but kind of confident. Yeap! Hard to explain. It was a mixture of emotions, feelings, faith and anything you can think of all together and at the same time.
Then, the time came.....
I called ahead of time. I had to call again. It was finally happening!
By the end of the call, with cell over my Bible...
The final outcome was not mine but the Lord's...
Still shared custody, no higher child support, longer visitation during the summer; yes, the full summer, and every other spring break and Christmas.
I could have not done it on my own. Many people love to boast about all they can do and have done with such an ease. I on the other hand, I depend and rely and trust God.
The best way to live is under His constant Presence. So, you should give it a try and ......
